A collection of materials concerning education and the town of Prospect, Maine. Included are an account book of school agents for school districts of Prospect, Maine (1849-1878); a recommendation for Miss A.F. Ginn, a student at the East Maine Conference Seminary, to teach school, signed by R.P. Bucknam, Bucksport, Me., May 8, 1862; a recommendation of Miss Almira F. Ginn as a legally qualified public school teacher, signed by Reuben Littlefield, Supervisor, Prospect, Apr. 6th, 1860; a personal letter dated March 28th, 1864, to Myra from Vena Clifford in Searsport concerning a request by Mr. Thomas Park to teach school; an envelope addressed to Miss Almira Ginn, Prospect Ferry, Maine; a personal letter from A. Harriman to his wife concerning groceries he has purchased in Boston and is sending to her to sell; and a receipt "Recd. of the town of Prospect five dollars in full for damage received on highway in 1877, Prospect, Mar. 1st, 1878."
